**This Tour and Discovery program is setup as a pre/post extension tour. Times will vary depending on pre/post tour option as well as flight arrival. If the program is a pre extension tour and you just arrived to Asia, then we will add 1 extra day for resting after your overseas flight, of course everything is adjustable to cater to your needs and desires.
Day 1: Bangkok
Sawadeeka! You will be greeted with this traditional way of saying hello upon your arrival to Bangkok. Bangkok is known for its culinary delights, sinful nightlife and grand history and some of the best shopping Asia has to offer. Your luggage will be taken care of and you will be driven to your luxury hotel in the heart of the city center where you can relax after your flight. Your evening will include a truly exotic Thai dinner on a luxury river cruise ship on the Chaophraya River. Sleep well tonight because tomorrow we will have an amazing day!
Day 2: Bangkok
This morning of discovery will start in the old city (Rattanakosin) of Bangkok. Our visits will include a stop at the regal majesty of the Grand Palace, the awe-inspiring beauty of Wat Phra Kaew, and the traditional learning centers Wat Pho and Wat Mahathat, the latter widely considered one of Thailand's first universities and a center for meditation. We will also discover Sanam Luang, a historic park next to the Grand Palace traditionally used for important Royal or Buddhist ceremonies, and the National Gallery can also be seen here. Our afternoon will include lunch at one of Thailand’s finest culinary retreats, the Supatra River House.
Your afternoon will include a discovery of Wat Po, the reclining Buddha. After we will travel through the canals of Thonburi, on small wooden long boats, for the scenic view of the household along the river and local way of life. Your afternoon will be spent relaxing and rejuvenating. Head into town and discover some of Bangkok’s amazing night life, street markets and restaurants.
Day 3: Bangkok - Phuket
Get your camera ready! Our morning of discovery will start with an early morning visit to Damnern Saduak district where fruit plantations and flower orchards are everywhere and home to one of Bangkok’s famous floating markets where we will explore all the facets of local market exchange in the comfort of our own sampans! We will make our way to lunch at a local restaurant serving Thai delights where you can relax and freshen up and get ready for our afternoon flight to Phuket. You will spend your afternoon relaxing at your luxury resort and preparing for our next full day adventure!
Day 4: Phuket
Our day of discovery starts early this morning! We will start with a scenic drive through the city then embark on our luxury Junk boat and start our cruise through the Phang Nga Bay. An enchanting bay filled with hundreds picturesque limestone cliffs. We will let the wind blow in our hair as we cruise along majestic sites. We will have the opportunity to stretch our legs at the stilted Sea Gypsy village and cruise to the famous James bond island. We will have a buffet style lunch onboard as you are gazing out into the magnificent scenery. You will have some time for swimming in the bay before heading back to the pier. We should arrive back at the hotel around sunset time. Spend the rest of the evening on your own, perhaps taking a night stroll along the beach is in your immediate future!
Day 5: Phuket
Time for some much needed rest and relaxation. Spend the morning on your own enjoying the beach, the spas, the massages, the shopping and the luxury on Phuket Island. Don’t get lost into the relaxation therapy too much, we will meet in the afternoon for a visit to the Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, an amazing Gibbon monkey rehabilitation center that will touch your heart and make you smile! After our visit we will end the evening with an unforgettable dinner show extravaganza!
Day 6: Phuket to Chiang Mai
Our day will start with a flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival we will discover the many fantastic sites in the old city. Our discovery will include Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, two of the city's most revered places of worship. We will head back to the hotel and spend the evening with a visit to the Chiang Mai night bizarre where you will see many wares from local artisans being displayed and sold. Chiang Mai has so many fantastic restaurants, so choosing dinner tonight on your own will be easy! Rest well; tomorrow we have a long day!
Day 7: Chiang Mai
Our day of discovery will start with a drive to the elephants at work at Mae Taman elephant camp where you can see the elephants at work and play! You will go on amazing elephant ride and really feel how the strongest creature on earth moves around so gently! We will then go on another thrilling ride through the jungle and farm lands on an ox cart ride! Our discovery will include a cruise along Mae Taeng River on a bamboo raft for an hour before returning to Chiang Mai! We will have lunch at beautiful orchid nursery, the Sai Namphueng Orchid Farm.
After lunch we will make our way towards the hill tribe village of the Long Necks where you can see the beautiful women that have rings around their neck for every year of their age! What an amazing thing to see in our modern world. We will conclude our afternoon with a trip to the Tiger Kingdom! An amazing Tiger preservation and rehabilitation center. You will have the opportunity to get inside the cages with the tigers and give them a hug or if you would like you can stay outside the cage where you can just enjoy the view! We will head back to the hotel for some much needed rest or continue exploring the city on your own. Today has been a full and fantastic day!
Day 8: Chiang Mai Departure
This is your departure day. We know how special Thailand is and you have only seen a glimpse of what it has to offer. If you would like to extend your trip to see some of the other incredible sites please let us work together and find the perfect discover package for you! If you have a late flight in the evening, we can arrange a cooking class in one of Chiang Mai’s premier cooking schools in the morning!
**Please not this is only a sample itinerary we have created which features the highlights of visiting Thailand in an 8 day period. We have a completely customizable itinerary so depending on the amount of times you have and the amount of things you want to see, we will make adjustments accordingly! We have Vietnam as our main destination visit and the other countries as pre or post extension tours just to give you an idea of planning your trip. Of course our goal is to make your trip to Southeast Asia as great as possible so let’s work together and create what is best for you!
